M J Forster Portfolio

Here is a small selection of some of my paintings. They are primarily watercolour a medium I have worked in for over 30 years now.

I’m always travelling and love to paint doorways.

In 2009 I developed this style and have had huge success. Think screen prints except in watercolour mostly but not exclusively British Landscape.

I also paint still life.

Some of it can drift into the surreal.

This is work from 2021 when I began to experiment with using a harder black line,

Here are some of my watercolours painted in a more traditional style. Obviously I love mountains although I do find all landscapes fascinating.

I love to work in a geometric and often more abstract way with a particular interest in colour and pattern and collage.

In recent years I have been designing lampshades made from my original work. I have a stand at the Grand Design Exhibition at the NEC this autumn.

There is far more information on my workand process on my website.
